With a team of more than 300 experienced professionals each with extensive experience working security, law enforcement, emergency medicine, counter terrorism, CBRNE, emergency management, and disaster response - many of them leaders in their respective fields – Centurion Solutions is prepared to meet any challenge. The following information highlights some of our key staff members.

Douglas Jackson — Founder, President and CEO 

A retired U.S. Army officer, Mr. Jackson is a proven leader with over 30 years’ experience building teams, providing vision, and managing large, complex programs. These programs span a broad spectrum of operations to include security operations, strategy development; intelligence; training design, development, and delivery; and emergency management planning and response.  Recognized as a security expert, Doug’s demonstrated strengths are in such diverse areas as crisis management, counter terrorism, security and disaster preparedness operations.  He founded Centurion Solutions in early 2012. 

Jose (Joe) Candelario - Vice President

Mr. Joe Candelario has more than 40 years’ experience in Emergency Management, Emergency Response, Preparedness and Safety, having served as the Emergency Management Coordinator for the City of San Antonio, in multiple leadership roles within the City’s Fire Department, as well as a comprehensive practical and theoretical foundation in city administrative and management processes. An expert in preparing for and responding to emergency situations, Joe is one of the first 56 associates in the U.S. to meet the qualification necessary to receive the professional Certification in Emergency Management. In recognition of his services to the State of Texas and the entire nation, Joe was recently inducted into the Texas Emergency Management Hall of Fame at the 2017 Texas Emergency Management Conference. 
 

Daryl L. Spiewak, CEM, TEM, MEP – Director of Preparedness Programs

 Daryl has 40+ years’ experience in all aspects of emergency preparedness. A retired Master Explosive Ordnance Disposal Officer in the U.S. Army, he has supported agencies, corporations, and multiple public entities from the local thru the federal level as well as international in improving their ability to effectively respond to a disaster. Daryl is one of the most qualified planners and mitigation specialists in the nation, specializing in exercise design and delivery, flood response, dam safety and security, risk management, floodplain management, severe weather, and CBRNE hazard mitigation and contingency planning.  A former President of the International Association of Emergency Managers (IAEM), Daryl serves on the CEM Certification Commission as the Lead Trainer and as Chair of the IAEM Communications Committee.

Dr. Melissa Gresham (Ph.D) – Director of Safety Programs

 Dr. Gresham brings a wealth of knowledge to Centurion Solutions, serving as our subject matter expert for health, safety, and environmental systems and their related processes.  She has advanced experience with OSHA regulations, accident investigation, and root cause analysis, and received numerous awards and honors for problem solving and decision making.  A former U.S. Army pilot and Safety Manager, she understands safety program requirements, and how to integrate local, state, and federal directives so as to assure compliance. Melissa also is an Adjunct Instructor at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.  A certified OSHA instructor, Melissa leads our efforts providing safety analysis, assessments, planning and training.
